It was a golden weekend for the Defensa 16 squad, claiming a huge victory at the 2-day Grand Prix West in Windsor. It was a tough 3-set battle for all of their matches, but they managed to outplay their opponents to clinch the winning spot with their determination and talent. Knocking out first-seeded Forest City was a big step in their climb to the top, going on to defeat Oakville Thunder in a best 3-out-of-5 final. Coach Shane concluded the win with “look out, Defensa 16 is a force to be reckoned with”. Next up…OVA Provincial Championships April 22-24th.
